Welcome to Castles in the Air Press!

Castles in the Air is a boutique, independent Press that is focusing specifically on publishing E-books.
Our name's are Orla & Clare and we are very excited to announce the launch of our brand new publishing press.
We met while studying English Literature in University and have both worked and been heavily involved in the Irish publishing industry ever since.
Our shared love of stories has always been a driving force behind everything we do and we hope to share that passion with you and the world.

The name Castles in the Air comes from a quote from the book Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. A book that has inspired and influenced us both over the years. This quote in particular is close to our hearts as it is about conspiring big dreams (or, castles in the air) and chasing them.
By launching this press we are chasing our dreams and we hope to help you chase yours in the journey to becoming a published author.

MEET THE TEAM
CLARE APPEZZATO
Clare is a recent graduate from a Masters in English Literature. She wrote her thesis on Rape Myth Culture in Irish Young Adult Fiction (you can check this out here).
She has worked in both academic and mainstream publishing houses as an editor in Dublin and has recently completed her training in E-book publishing.

ORLA CARR
Orla has a degree in English Literature & History from UCD and has been heavily involved in the Irish publishing industry for several years. She has worked on social media & marketing campaigns for one of Ireland's leading publishing houses.
She is currently the Social Media Manager for Ireland's newest literary journal, The Mouldy Bike, which you can check out here.
